The Allergy Society of Kenya (ASOK) was registered in 2007 under the Registrars of Societies, Kenya, and officially launched on November 20, 2008, by a group of Kenyan medical practitioners from different fields of specialty. This initiative arose in response to the growing concern about allergies and the need for improved care and awareness in the country.

ASOK’s Vision is to be a leading health professional organization that promotes appropriate care for allergy patients in Kenya. Its Mission focuses on improving clinical care for patients with allergic conditions by sharing knowledge and skills on various educational platforms. This involves educating healthcare practitioners and the public, formulating local guidelines to optimize clinical care, conducting research to guide evidence-based practices, and fostering links with regional and international partners in the field of allergy.
